北韓今（15）日再次發射發彈，路徑更高更遠！成功大學太空研究團隊利用密集分佈在台灣、日本、南韓的GPS接收網，希望能在幾日內找出火箭發射的軌跡、速度等參數，未來技術成熟，可望有效輔助飛彈雷達防禦監測系統。

成大地科系林建宏教授指出，飛彈的高度，會引起太空一連串電離層波動，團隊會應用台灣或世界各地密集的地面GPS接收網，加以搜集分析。這些GPS接收網，因監測範圍又遠又廣，可做為飛彈雷達防禦監測的輔助系統，監測長程火箭發射、長程洲際飛彈的蹤跡。

林建宏透露，成大太空研究團隊之所以投入太空震波的觀測，與2010年10月，民眾在台灣東部外海看見紅色火球墜落，「火球」來源眾說紛云，最後才知，可能是中國嫦娥2號探月衛星，發射的火箭第二節引擎在台灣上空附近脫離。

中國大陸發射衛星會經台灣上空，事前竟未知會台灣，火箭引擎在台灣上空附近脫離，掉落東部外海，幸好海面沒有船隻作業，否則後果不堪設想。團隊開始以GPS 觀測太空電離層技術、分析當時台灣上空電離層電漿擾動，成功捕獲到嫦娥2號發射火箭時的飛行軌跡、時間、高度、速度等飛行參數，並在國際研討會發表，分析結果令國際學者大為驚訝。

團隊也觀測到2009年、2012年 2016年北韓飛彈、火箭發射，產生的太空電離層擾動，發現2016年2月北韓發射人造衛星時，極可能第二節火箭發生問題，使原應往東南飛行的火箭軌跡，因第二節火箭出問題而轉往西南，並經過台灣東部外海。

團隊也從日前福衛五號發射觀測中，捕獲得史上範圍最大的太空超音速震波，運用北美地區地面GPS接收站，觀測到距地表300公里高度的太空電離層電漿擾動，並在福衛五號發射站范登堡空軍基地觀測到東西南北橫跨超過1500公里屬於超音速震波的圓型波動。
