阿貢火山近日活動頻繁，印尼政府擔心它恐將再次噴發。（法新社）

〔即時新聞／綜合報導〕美不勝收的峇里島最近人心惶惶，由於島上近日小規模地震頻傳，阿貢火山活動加劇，印尼國家災害應變總署已將阿貢火山的警戒等級提升至第3級，火山口半徑6公里內、海拔950公尺以上的區域已禁止一切活動，就怕這座火山事隔50年再次噴發，因為上次的爆發奪走了1000條以上的人命。
綜合媒體報導，印尼國家災害應變總署（BNPB）指出，阿貢火山（Agung volcano）近期活動加劇，並在火山口觀測到50公尺高的噴發，研判火山近期有大規模爆發的可能。應變總署發言人蘇托波（Sutopo Purwo Nugroho）20日發表聲明指出，阿貢火山在9月21日噴發144次、出現10次淺層火山地震，搖晃時間總計480秒，「所以區域都必須保持戒備。」
雖然目前為止阿貢火山還沒有噴出火山灰，但短短兩天內已經發生數百起地震，當地人心惶惶，18日時350位居民曾緊急避難，但隔天19日又返回家中，而峇里省政府已將阿貢火山附近數千名居民緊急疏散。另外，峇里島的伍拉賴國際機場每年有數百萬名觀光客來來往往，雖然目前為止火山仍未造成任何影響，但機場隨時保持戒備。
阿貢火山上次噴發是在1963年，當時造成1100人以上死亡。
